Central Banks in Sync

The percentage of world central banks tightening has reached an historical maximum. Global phenomena such as COVID-19 or inflation have synchronized their actions. No central bank was raising rates during the pandemic, and now almost all of them are raising rates to fight inflation. That may force also synchronization of the economic cycles and their markets. Russia, China and Japan are probably the only ones not raising rates at this point. The amount of liquidity drained from the system is unprecedented.
