The 2024 presidential race has already began, and it’s full of strange situations and controversies. On the republican side, the candidates debate took place yesterday but the most popular one (Trump) according to polls, declined to attend. He was interviewed on X (former twitter) at the same time of the debate and 20 million people watch the interview. He’s been indicted and could be convicted and potentially serve jail time. But the US Constitution has very few requirements to serve as President, such as being at least 35 years of age. It does not bar anyone indicted, or convicted, or even serving jail time, from running or winning as president of the US. On the democrat side, President Biden, which has a 40% approval rate, appears to be the strongest candidate, also inmerse in controversies regarding his son’s businesses related to the #ukraineconflict. Robert F Kennedy seems to be the only other democrat that can run against Biden on the democratic primaries.
